My name is Ryan Regalado.
I currently live in Austin, Texas and have spent most of my time in sunny Southern California. I’m a graduate of University of California, Irvine, as well as Rice University in Houston. I’ve learned to combine my Studio Art, Computer Science, and Graphic Design degrees in my artwork by balancing the technical with the creative.
I’m inspired by graffiti, anime, my wife, and the humor of my two children. My work blends strong visual design with loose ink linework and playful storytelling.
I’m interested in illustrating children’s picture books that combine humor, warmth, and visual energy as well as editorial / conceptual illustrations. I’m currently seeking literary representation for children’s books.
